The FXRS debuted in 1982 with a distinctive set of features, marking a pivotal moment for the brand (read more about the History of the Harley-Davidson FXR). It stood apart with its taller suspension and came equipped with a sissy bar and pad. The engine is finished in a characteristic wrinkle black paint.
This specific model features the eye-catching two-tone black and red with gold pinstriping paint scheme. All 1982 models included highway pegs, dual-disc brakes, and cast wheels that were painted black with polished highlights.
Engine & Performance: Designed by chassis engineer Erik Buell, the FXRS is widely celebrated as the best-handling Harley ever produced. The 80 cubic inch Shovelhead motor is stock, very healthy, and doesn’t leak any oil. Electrical components, brakes, and everything else all work as intended.
