• For Sale 1983 Harley Davidson XLX-61 Sportster Ironhead. Nice, mostly original 1983 Harley Davidson XLX-61 Ironhead. Matching frame and engine vin numbers, clean title. Runs and rides. Needs nothing.

  Strip a Harley-Davidson down to its

  essence and you’d come up with the new

  XLX-61. It has no unnecessary frills. But

  it’s got everything a pure Harley-Davidson

  should have.

           No fancy technology just for

  technology’s sake. Just 1000cc’s of V-Twin

  power to command the streets in the

  Sportster* tradition.

        The XLX responds from the moment

  you turn the key. An all new two-stage V-Fire

  III electronic ignition system makes for an

  increased compression ratio of 8.8 to 1. The

  less restrictive exhaust system increases

  Horsepower a full 10%. And because of the

  new lighter weight tubular frame. The XLX

  glides through the breezes quickly and easily.

        Bare bones styling begins with the

  wide, low rise handlebars. A single speedometer

  is mounted between them- the one essential

  gauge. The lone seat is slung low; an optional

  passenger pillion is available.

        A traditional Sportster-style peanut

  gas tank features Harley-Davidson racing

  script. The oval air cleaner also harkens back

  to the Harley heritage

        But the XLX has a look all its own. A

  new matte silver finish coats selected engine

  parts and the nine-spoke cast wheels. The

  staggered shorty duals are a distinctive flat

  black.

        Functional styling. Powerful
